On 21 November, the winners of the 26th Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition were announced at the gala event held at the Museum of Ethnography. WING has been recognised at the 26th real estate event organised by the Hungarian Section of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI). The ibis&TRIBE Budapest Stadium dual-branded hotel project of the Liberty complex won the special award of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, for its high-quality implementation.

This year, the Hungarian Section of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) organised the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition for the 26th time, judged by a jury of Hungarian and invited foreign experts.

The main objective of FIABCI, the Paris-based International Real Estate Federation, is to develop the profession both in theory and practice, to showcase real estate development achievements internationally and to provide business contacts for real estate development professionals.

FIABCI Hungary first organised the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award Competition 27 years ago in 1997 with the aim of recognising the outstanding achievements of Hungarian real estate developers, and to promote the developments to the Hungarian professional audiences and the wider public and, last but not least, to endorse participation in the FIABCI World Prix d`Excellence international real estate development competition.

Within the framework of the prestigious real estate event, the ibis&TRIBE Budapest Stadium, located in the Liberty complex and developed by WING, won the special prize for the best hotel of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association, one of the professional organisations sponsoring the competition. The hotel is the first new dual-branded hotel in Hungary and the first TRIBE hotel not only in Hungary but also in the region. Its extravagant interior design has already won multiple awards at the prestigious LIV Hospitality Design Awards.

The dual-branded ibis&TRIBE Budapest Stadium hotel occupies the top floor of the Könyves Kálmán körút wing of the Liberty building complex. The hotel comprises a total of 332 hotel rooms shared equally between the brands. The facilities of the complex include an all-day à la carte restaurant, a fitness gym, an underground car park and accessible rooms. The conference centre can accommodate up to 180 guests and features 5 multifunctional event rooms. The Cloud IX Skybar is part of the hotel complex and is located on the ninth floor of the Liberty building. The rooftop bar can seat up to 120 people and its unique interior design, excellent food & beverage selection and TRIBE-signature cocktails make it a truly unique destination in Budapest. The dual hotel in Liberty thus offers a complete suite of services to its guests.

It is a great honour for us that the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association has awarded the special prize to the project implemented in the development of WING, one of the most advanced and ESG-compliant complexes in the country. As one of the leading real estate companies in Hungary and the region, we are committed to projects that create long-term value and represent high architectural quality” – said Dr. Ernő Takács, Deputy CEO of WING, responsible for the office and hotel portfolio and President of the Real Estate Developers Round Table Association.

The hotel is located in the Liberty complex, which is unique in Hungary, featuring 3–4 star rooms and commercial units, as well as class A+ office spaces. The Liberty complex provides a unique solution for office tenants who value excellent accessibility by both public and individual means of transport, as well as large, high quality office spaces and a wide range of services, which are also complemented by hotel functions in the building. The energy-efficient and modern complex with its dynamic façade was built with environmental awareness and sustainability in mind, as confirmed by the BREEAM Excellent and Access4you Gold Certifications.
