The European Union has purchased WING’s recent development, Millenáris Modern office building in the Millenáris Park. From autumn the building will house the European Commission Representation in Hungary and the Budapest Information Office of the European Parliament’s. A new EU information and cultural community space will open on the ground floor at the start of next year, when Hungary assumes the EU presidency, and there will also be a library of specialized publications for visitors in the gallery. Important factors for the buyer were the office building’s excellent central location, the culturally vibrant and family-friendly surroundings of Millenáris Park, the emblematic character of the building, and its easy visitor access.

The Millenáris Modern office building is located in the business center of Buda, but nonetheless in a green environment. One of three office buildings developed by WING in Millenáris Park, Millenáris Modern was created through the renovation of the “U” industrial building of the old Ganz manufacturing plant. The architectural quality that resulted from the renovation entirely redefined the park’s atmosphere and contributed to the development of the immediate environment. As part of the project, WING renovated the popular fairy tale-themed Péter Zöld playground, and converted both the playground and its surrounding area into a public park for the enjoyment of visitors. The excellent location, the high architectural standards applied, and the renewed environment combined makes the building particularly worthy of its new function.

The ground floor and gallery will house the information center and the specialized library. The stairway provides direct access to the two-level underground garage. The entire building will be barrier-free.
