GOBUDA Mall, Óbuda's number one shopping centre, celebrates its second anniversary


In less than two years, GOBUDA Mall, the largest shopping centre in Óbuda, opened in March 2022 as part of a WING development, has become one of Óbuda's most popular meeting and shopping destinations, offering visitors an easily accessible venue for meetings, shopping and entertainment. With a leasable area of 25,000 square metres, the complex hosts around 100 stores and has an occupancy rate of almost 90 per cent.

GOBUDA Mall, a WING development, opened its doors exactly two years ago. The largest shopping centre in the third district opened in March 2022. WING renovated and modernised the complex at record speed, turning it into a destination for leisure, shopping and services that meets all the needs of the residents of Óbuda, the second district and the surrounding agglomeration.

GOBUDA Mall is WING's third shopping centre development project in Budapest, following the successful repositioning and renovation of Hegyvidék Shopping Centre and MOM Park. The 25,000 square metres of leasable area covers almost 100 stores in practice, of which approximately 90% has already been leased. The mall serves the shopping needs of around 750,000 people living in the catchment area and aims to offer a wide range of services to satisfy everyone's needs, while the thematic arrangement of stores makes it easier for customers to find their way around: The size and design of Gobuda Mall eliminates the need to spend hours walking along the corrdiors, and makes everything quick and easy to reach. When devising the tenant mix, the focus was first placed on anchor tenants (e.g. Interspar, Douglas, dm, Pepco, Mohito and KFC). As an extraordinary attraction, the building also features a theatre: “Vidám Színpad” offers child-friendly shows in addition to performances for adults. The modernised GOBUDA Cinema is equipped with the latest cinema projection technology and is becoming increasingly popular among the locals.
