Philip Morris built to suit warehouse handed over in East Gate Business Park
2008-08-25
Following completion of Philip Morris’ category “A” office building at the beginning of this summer, the company’s new national logistics and commercial centre of 7,000 m2 has been handed over. The company’s new headquarters have been completed in record time, ahead of the scheduled opening date of autumn 2008.
Philip Morris Magyarország Kft and the developer WING Zrt. have reached a lease agreement in December 2007. As the construction work progressed, an approximately 120 employees moved into the two-storey office building in June, and in July the company also took possession of the special-purpose warehouse facility.
The property developer WING took the tenant's needs into consideration right from the planning stage. The interior layout of the hall, the special loading areas, the partitioned areas, and the parking area for 160 cars and trucks, are all geared to ensuring the company's optimal operation. In the course of the construction the latest, high-quality technological solutions were incorporated into the facility. In line with Philip Morris’ expectations, the warehouse is directly adjacent to the office building, thus maximising the speed and efficiency of cooperation between the various functional units.
Besides Philip Morris, the customised solutions and flexible service package on offer have attracted many other major tenants to the business centre, which is located at the intersection of the M0 and M3 motorways. GE Hungary, Nefab Packaging, Central Drinks and TP Logistic have already located here their office and warehouse facilities. The business park, when expected to be fully developed will occupy a total area of 140,000 m2, currently consists of 65,000 m2 of developed space, which is 90% occupied.
