A new boutique office development is launching in Liget Center – a whole new building: Liget Center Vitrum
2023-05-12
The renovation of Liget Center, a WING development, is about to reach a new milestone: a graceful, new building with an all-glass facade will join the existing office buildings – Liget Center Classic and Liget Center Auditorium – in the inner courtyard. Liget Center Vitrum will offer future tenants an additional 2200 square meters of leasable area in the city centre with a number of green and smart solutions.
Liget Center Vitrum is a simple yet elegant, ‘ethereal’ building in the heart of Budapest, right next to City Park, with great, newly-built office spaces that are also suitable for company headquarters. The A+ category designer building is situated in Budapest’s 6th District, on a corner plot at the intersection of Dózsa György út and Városligeti fasor, opposite the new Museum of Ethnography, in a stylish part of the city with grand mansions. The location has multiple entertainment options and services and its buildings’ special architectural features will create a unique experience for future tenants.
The exclusive Liget Center Vitrum with its all-glass facade, will be a real gem of an office building right next to the geometrical shapes of the two existing, architecturally modern heritage buildings. The three buildings will surround a private inner courtyard filled with greenery and sheltered from traffic.
‘We are happy to announce that construction work on the Liget Center office complex will continue. The Liget Center Classic and Auditorium buildings will be the main base for the television channel RTL Hungary, from 2024. The renovation of these heritage buildings is proceeding as planned. The new boutique project, Liget Center Vitrum, will complete Liget Center perfectly. The new building will offer many benefits, green and smart solutions, cutting-edge technical features and office spaces suitable for company headquarters,’ said Gábor Angel, Deputy CEO of Wing Zrt, responsible for office developments.
Environmental considerations are always a priority for WING, a leading property developer and investor in the Hungarian property market, and this downtown office building project also focuses on providing green and smart solutions to future tenants. Vitrum will be a nearly zero energy building with expansive vertical green surfaces in and outside of the office spaces, it will have silent air-conditioning vents, optimised, environmentally-friendly lighting, heat pump technology and, naturally, energy-efficient operation with environmentally friendly water consumption and waste management. The project aims to achieve BREEAM sustainability certification. Construction started in late 2022, and the building is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024.
Modern operation is ensured by a number of technical features: the A+ category building offers flexible BTS solutions and includes cutting-edge acoustics design. The office building will have integrated building management with a smart building system and a custom control application. In addition, external weather sensors, indoor air quality monitors and target level controlled lifts support sustainable operation.
Liget Center Vitrum was designed by TIBA Architects Studio – and WORKUP, FITOUT Zrt’s construction business, is the general contractor. WORKUP is also involved in the reinforcement of the foundations of the existing underground car park of the Liget Center.
