The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel won two awards at this year’s Klasszis TopDesign competition, one of the most prominent professional contests in the Hungarian HoReCa sector. At the gala held on 25 November, WING – the hotel’s developer – was honoured with the “TopDesign Bar/Pub, Café, Confectionery of the Year” award for the Skybar of TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel, as well as the “TopDesign Restrooms of the Year” recognition. The jury praised the property’s outstanding architectural and interior design solutions, its cohesive design philosophy, and its high-quality guest experience.

The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel was developed by WING in cooperation with Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, located directly next to Terminal 2 and connected to the existing ibis Styles hotel. Featuring 167 rooms, the four-star superior lifestyle, design-focused hotel is the 21st TRIBE hotel worldwide, and the latest airport-based unit in the brand’s international portfolio. Opened in May, it is the second TRIBE in Budapest, following the TRIBE Budapest Stadium located within the Liberty mixed-use building, also developed by WING.

The hotel’s unique spaces and premium services – including the panoramic Skybar, the TRIBE Table restaurant, as well as modern conference and fitness facilities – blend urban lifestyle with functionality, reflecting the philosophy of the global TRIBE brand. The building and its interiors embody the harmony of contemporary design and sustainability, supported by its BREEAM certification and Access4you rating.

The architecture of the TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel was designed by Aspectus Architect, with interior concept created by este’r partners. The hotel is operated jointly by WING and Accor. It represents a balance of modern urban living, functional design and environmentally conscious thinking – values that the Klasszis TopDesign Awards seek to recognize and showcase.
