WING has been honoured at Kreatív magazine’s RGB Design Awards for its exhibition, “Modernism in pieces – architectural characters of the Liget Center, the former MÉMOSZ Headquarters.” Launched in 2019, the RGB Award is one of Hungary’s most prestigious recognitions in the creative industry, celebrating design solutions in communication, marketing, and media.

This year, WING received the top prize in the “EVENT DESIGN – Artistic Space/Installation” category. At the award ceremony held on November 12, the professional jury praised the installation for its architectural significance, visual complexity, and innovative use of space, successfully connecting the heritage of modernist architecture with contemporary visual culture.

The pop-up exhibition, initiated and funded by WING, took place between November 4 and 18, 2024, in Liget Center Vitrum located next to City Park (Városliget), – a popular public park and cultural centre in Budapest – in collaboration with the Paradigma Ariadné architecture studio and the Art is Business team. The exhibition presented the past, present, and future of the former MÉMOSZ Headquarters (National Association of Construction Workers of Hungary) – now known as the Liget Center Classic and Auditorium – through narratives built around its distinctive architectural elements.

WING purchased the iconic building complex in 2018, then it was fully renovated, and transformed into a modern, sustainable office building that meets 21st-century standards, while preserving its architectural heritage. The redevelopment was tailored to the specific needs of RTL Hungary, which moved in during the summer of 2024. Now nearly 75 years old, the complex is not only one of Hungary’s most remarkable modernist buildings but also the country’s greenest listed historic building, housing the most advanced news studio in the nation while successfully preserving the building’s original character. The development was completed with the addition of a new, standalone building with an all-glass façade: the Vitrum boutique office building, offering six floors of modern, sustainable office space.
