At the same time, the Focivilág Absolute Teamsport sports store is now open on the ground floor. In the next phase, Hungary’s first newly built dual-branded hotel is expected to open by the end of the year under the names ibis & Tribe Budapest Stadium. Meanwhile, development of the north wing is underway with a total of 20,000 square metres of office area and it is expected to open in the first half of 2024, where office spaces is still available.
The office area of the first phase of Liberty, WING’s mixed-use project, has received its use permit, and the first tenants, eMAG and GEODIS, have already moved in. In addition to the arrival of international tenants, a 360 square meter Focivilág and Absolute Teamsport retail store will open, which will be the only such store in Hungary. Absolute Teamsport is a sports retail network and Europe’s best team sport specialists. With the handover of this section of the building, an underground parking garage with 650 parking spaces will also become available. The parking garage will offer public parking, bicycle racks and changing rooms, with Sharenow services to arrive later in the summer. Tenants can use the inner garden and the outdoor furniture provided, as well as the green area between Liberty and the Telekom building. EMAG Easybox and Foxpost parcel lockers will be available in the building, and people working there can visit the quality restaurants and the café in the Telekom headquarters next door.
“With the handover of the office areas in the south wing, Liberty, our largest development at the moment, has reached a major milestone. The next step will be the opening of the dual branded hotel, where the finishing touches are underway. Once that is done, Liberty will officially become a multifunctional building. Based on the market demand, the final work of the north wing are currently being prepared with a further 20,000 square metres, in which there is ongoing potential tenants' interest” said Gábor Angel, WING Zrt’s Deputy CEO for office developments. “Our aim was to create a distinctive and innovative building that will define the Budapest cityscape and will reflect modern property market trends. We are building a people-oriented, multifunctional complex with a range of services and green solutions,” he added.
Liberty is a modern, energy efficient building with a dynamic facade, and its location and the available services all contribute to a high quality and sustainable environment. Located in Budapest’s 9th District, right next to the Telekom headquarters, the development will be completed in two phases. The first phase includes the completion of the south wing of the complex, which will offer a total of 10,000 square meters of floor space, with category A+ offices on floors 1-4, and a dual-branded hotel (the 3-star ibis Budapest Stadium and the 4-star Tribe Budapest Stadium) and retail units on the ground floor and on floors 5-8.
Liberty is located at the intersection of Albert Flórián út and Könyves Kálmán körút, on the edge of the city centre when coming from the direction of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Metro line M3 offers direct and convenient connection to the city centre, while tram line 1, which passes right in front of the building, provides another alternative. Domestic and international lines are available from Népliget Bus Terminal and Ferencváros Railway Station.
