It took less than a year to build the new wing of The British International School, Budapest, which was officially opened on the 23rd of September. Thanks to the construction, the school has become one of the most modern institutions in the capital city, with a size of 9000 square metres.

The new building adds 3000 square metres, so that the whole school can now welcome students to a 9000 m2 campus. In the new wing there are 24 classrooms as well as offices, music rooms, multifunctional rooms, a new coffee shop and canteen. The school’s courtyard has been renovated too. Constructing the new wing of the British International School, Budapest in District 3 proved to be a highly complex task because of the steep hillside; the implementers of the project had to face a number of unique challenges. In addition a number of important renovation works were carried out in the existing building.

The construction started last autumn; more than 750 professionals worked on finishing the project. Due to the expansion and the renovations, The British International School, Budapest now has the most modern facilities and is one of the most advanced educational institutions in the capital.

The plans of the new building were drawn up by Aspectus Architect Ltd and Wing Ltd managed the project. The construction itself was completed in less than a year thanks to Market Építő Ltd.
