The developer expects the renovated mall to be the number one shopping and experience centre in North Buda and its surroundings

EuroCenter mall in Óbuda comes to life again. WING is going to start renovation works in the spring of 2021 to open it in the spring of 2022 after the renovation. In addition to the international fashion brands, the renovated mall is offering its future visitors a diverse range of services, a renovated cinema, culinary experiences and a roof garden. The investment enriches North Buda with a modern, exciting facility, which, in addition to functionality, will also ensure quality leisure time. The long-awaited development features WING's usual high quality, with the clearness of design to meet the needs of 21st century customers.

Inside and outside, EuroCenter is to be renewed. Thanks to WING's renovation plans, the North Buda area will be enriched with a modern and demanding, yet human-scale mall. EuroCenter at Bécsi út, District III, was purchased by WING in 2018, due to its situation, its excellent accessibility by car and public transport, as well as the development potential of the building and its location. WING is one of the largest Hungarian privately owned real estate developers. Also, being the majority owner of the largest Polish real estate developer, Echo Investment, it is a key player on the regional real estate market. This is the company's fourth mall development project after successfully completing Agria Park in Eger, Hegyvidék Mall and MOM Park.

The renovation of Eurocenter is justified by the fact that the purchasing power index of District III and the associated agglomeration well exceeds the national average, and the area is going to develop further thanks to residential parks, office buildings and multifunctional projects planned or under development.

The vast majority of the mall’s stores will close on April 3, 2021, Saturday evening, while the hypermarket and the car wash are expected to close during May. The renewed mall of a leasable area of about 25,000 m2 is planned to offer its customers services on the gallery floor, which is to be expanded, and a renewed food court, a cinema and international fashion and accessories stores on the first floor from the spring of 2022. The re-opening INTERSPAR on the ground floor will also be completely renovated, with a modern exterior and interior design for the sales space, a wide and high-quality selection of goods, and solutions for the convenience of customers. Among other things, an INTERSPAR to Go is going to be set up in the hypermarket.

“Being a developer, our primary goal is to create lasting value both in Hungary and abroad. This principle guides us throughout the architectural and functional renewal of EuroCenter, too. This development shall make quality shopping experience available for North Buda. Focusing on people, we are going to create a modern and demanding complex that, in addition to the expectations of the present age, also reflects new trends. When customers walk into a mall these days, they want not only to get things done as quickly as possible, but also to spend quality time, perhaps with their families and friends. This is what our latest project reflects,” says Noah Steinberg, CEO of WING Zrt.

In addition to the complete architectural renewal, the services offer of the house is also going to change. The new tenant mix is shaped by the developer with maximum attention paid to customers’ needs. They plan to feature the popular fashion brands, banking, telecommunications and healthcare services, among others, while the cinema, and many new restaurants and cafés will provide entertainment. Thanks to the flexible layout, community spaces and a wide range of entertainment and culinary services, the renewed mall has good chance to become the number one experience center and popular meeting place of North Buda in the future. Due to its design and location, it can host a number of interesting programs, such as recurring events or presentations.

The mall also emphasizes environmentally conscious and sustainable solutions, just in the case of past WING developments. Inspired by the green approach, bicycle storage facilities and electric car charging stations are also going to be available, among other things. Visitors will also be able to use public transport solutions. The renewed EuroCenter is going to be completely accessible and, with a view to recent events, special attention is going to be paid to health awareness during development.
