2022-12-15
GEODIS, a leading global logistics provider, has signed a long-term lease agreement for the 1,200 square-metre office space of the multifunctional Liberty complex, one of WING’s flagship property development projects. The company will move into its new country headquarters in the southern wing of the building in April 2023.
WING and GEODIS have concluded a long-term lease agreement for a 1,200 square metre office space of the Liberty complex. The office will be located on the 2nd floor the South wing of the building and will represent a mixed (50% open-plan and 50% cellular) layout for the international company. The new lease agreement in Liberty building gives the opportunity for GEODIS to move into a newly-built, energy-efficient and modern building and meanwhile providing a high quality and sustainable environment for its employees to work in, both in terms of the accessible location and the services that are available within Liberty Office Building. The company was represented by international property consultancy Cushman & Wakefield during the conclusion of the agreement.
Liberty building offers a wide range of complex services to its Tenants’ employees, such as taxi ordering, dry cleaning, event organisation, catering and booking meeting rooms, as well as the rooftop running track and the sports fields. Liberty will be home to a dual-branded three-star ibis and four-star Tribe hotel, and employees working in the office building will be able to use its prime services including the panoramic rooftop bar, which is set to be a great place for after-work meetings or team building sessions. Thanks to the four-level underground car park, the building will offer an exceptionally high number of parking spaces, which will be equipped with dedicated and community electric charging points.
Liberty is located at the intersection of Albert Flórián út and Könyves Kálmán körút, at the gateway to the city centre when coming from the direction of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The M3 metro line offers a direct and convenient connection to the city centre, while tram line 1, which passes right in front of the building, is another alternative. National and international lines are available from Népliget bus station and Ferencváros train station. Located just a few minutes away from Liberty is the Lurdy Ház shopping centre, along with a variety of grocery stores and a number of dining and cultural options, while the neighbouring Telekom headquarters building is also home to several restaurants and a Café Frei. There have been other significant developments in the area recently, and further ambitious projects are in progress, which continue to enhance the prestige of the area, as well as the office building itself.
The building, the construction of which is proceeding at a dynamic pace, offers prospective tenants large, high-quality office spaces that can be flexibly arranged and that have the highest technical quality on the market. The tallest part of the structure was constructed in the summer. The office spaces of the south wing are to be delivered in spring 2023, with delivery of the hotel areas in the same wing scheduled for the second half of 2023. Liberty is being developed with a focus on the wellbeing of office workers, hotel staff and its guests health conscious solutions, and in the pursuit of a BREEAM Excellent sustainability certification.
