WING signs new lease agreements at Infopark
2021-02-04
WING, one of Hungary’s largest real estate developers, has signed long-term office lease agreements with new tenants in three buildings at Infopark. As a result of the agreements, covering more than 2400 square metres of total floor space, WING’s buildings at Infopark now boast occupancy rates exceeding 90%. The long-term lease agreements signed with the new tenants show that even under the current market conditions, demand for space and offices at Infopark remains constant.
Infopark is majority owned by WING, one of the largest property companies in Hungary, which owns more than 100,000 sq m of floor space in Infopark’s Buildings B, C, D and I, as well as the nearby Ericsson and Siemens-evosoft HQs located on the Danube bank. Despite the extraordinary circumstances last year, and in spite of increasing demand for telework solutions, Infopark remains the focus of significant interest on the part of tenants. Four companies signed long-term lease agreements in Q4 2020, followed by another firm in January 2021, for spaces in Buildings B, C and I at Infopark, for a total area of 2400 square metres. “Infopark enjoys exceptional popularity among various IT and technological companies. Over the course of the summer, as well as currently, we have seen and are seeing particularly significant interest in available spaces and offices. This confirms that we have been able to make up for any tenants whose lease agreements expired over the last two years or are about to expire. In fact, we have managed to further increase our occupancy rates,” says Emilia Tarró, WING senior asset manager. Thanks to the new tenants, the occupancy rates of the buildings owned by WING now exceed 90 percent.
New tenants include, among others, the Hungarian office of the multinational company ZTE Corporation, active in the field of telecommunications systems and devices, which has signed on to lease one floor in Building I. ZTE’s key products include wireless and optical data transmission devices and telecommunications software, with main clients including major telecommunications companies such as Telus (Canada), Vodafone (England), Telefonica (Spain), France Telecom and Telstra (Australia). In Infopark Building C, professional audiovisual systems company AV Spring signed a long-term lease agreement. PCB Design, one of Hungary’s largest independent electronic design engineering offices, has signed on to lease the 6th floor of Building B. The company is primarily involved in the design of printed circuit boards and the development of electronic products.
Infopark is the first innovation and technology park in Central Eastern Europe, serving as a progressive hub in particular for companies active in the IT, telecommunications and software development markets. It is situated at the Buda end of the Rákóczi Bridge, in District 11. The park and its buildings are easily accessible by automobile, bicycle or public transportation, with a number of bus stops and tram line no. 1 in close proximity. Infopark is surrounded by well-maintained green space lined with footpaths, providing an ideal and harmonious setting for visitors of the office complex. Located in a modern office park offering the ambience of a university campus, the buildings are home to first-class office spaces and boast spectacular rooftop panoramas. On top of that, the university quarter offers various additional services, including a post office, ATMs, a bank, a tobacco shop as well as restaurants and cafés, serving to further increase the appeal of the prime location of the office buildings in the park.
